Spring 2026: Have You Tried making it weirder?
Have you tried making it weirder? is a branding workshop for artists, intuitives, and business witches who feel both drawn to and resistant to being seen.
It begins from a simple but disruptive premise: branding is not a corporate exercise, it’s a magical one.
It’s the process of identifying the essential words, images, and energies that want to be repeated, not to constrain you, but to signal to the most resonant people.
Or said another way, to create a doorway into the world you’re building so others can actually find you and enter.
In MMM #5, Matt and I bring two ends of the spectrum into conversation: a deeply intuitive, unshaming, emergence-based approach to business, and 30 years of experience in branding as a craft.
What emerges is a reframing of branding as spellwork.
For Matt and I, the process of what the world calls “branding” is about becoming more precise, more resonant, and more alive in how you express what you’re already doing.
Who is Matt Bull? Matt is like my husband, except neither of us believe in marriage (currently). He’s a mutable man: Sagittarius Rising, Pisces Sun and Mercury, Gemini Moon. His mutability is fortified by Mars in Aquarius and Venus in Taurus. In Human Design, he’s a 1/3 MG with Sun at Gate 25.
Matt went to Rice University to study Physics and then, near the end, switched to Literature. By accident and necessity, he found himself at an ad agency after college and built a career helping brands bring the unexpected, the clever, and the memorable into their messaging. He left the corporate version of advertising in his 30s and has now run his own small agency for over a decade. He oversaw the building of this website.
From my perspective, I rarely see Matt “working.” He’s writing music, pickling vegetables, in the dirt with his plants, delighting in TikTok, and having long conversations over coffee. He once told me his goal was to not work more than three hours a day, and he is living this dream.
Matt is my favorite person to talk to. His bard qualities hold the wisdom of The Fool, able to see outside dominant narratives and poke directly at the truth of a thing. Conversations with Matt have supported me in finding the words I’m wanting to say. His quick, sharp intuition can instantly vibe what I’m going for. At its core, this workshop treats branding as a process of self-confrontation and self-recognition. When you begin to name what you do, who it’s for, and what makes it distinct, you encounter both your power and your resistance. You meet the parts of you that want to stay diffuse, hidden, or infinite. And you also meet the deeper truth: that your work already has a shape, a tone, a pattern of return. Branding, in this context, is the practice of seeing that pattern clearly enough to work with it.
Over 4 sessions, you’ll move through the foundational elements of brand-building, but in a way that stays connected to your intuition and your lived experience.

We were told that mystics aren’t permitted to have earthly desires.
Mystics aren’t supposed to hunger for more.
Mystics aren’t allowed to be wholly in their erotic, ambitious bodies.
The name itself embraces your wholeness. It says you can be this and also want that. You don’t have to shame one part of yourself to make another part cohere.
You haven’t heard Business like this before. My approach will feel different.
As a Very Pisces Person, I approach strategies of abundance from a feeling place. All of my moves grow from listening to my guides, feeling the energy of what wants to grow and die, following frequency and vibration, and relating to my Past and Future Selves.
What makes my style unique is that I also have a Capricorn Moon. Within me is a nature gift for building out structures and frameworks that can be soothingly transmitted and felt by the receiver. My expansiveness is communicated in ways that feel clearly defined and immediately applicable.
As a mystic, I reject the binary between feeling victimized by our economic system and becoming co-opted by it. I invite students to participate in the marketplace from a THIRD option: one that acknowledges the flaws and injustices of colonial systems but which also imagines new pathways for self and collective.
I refuse obedience to external templates for success. My approach here and elsewhere is always going to be disruptive and catalyzing because I teach from my own inner law rather than shame-based pressures outside myself. I share what feels true to me. Take what resonates, make it your own, and ignore the rest.

Revolutions Not Resolutions is my annual teaching framework (formerly known as Seeding the Year) for engaging with Time at the Gregorian calendar shift. We root from your dream field. We plant from your desires.
It’s for people a lot like my younger self – a nerd for goal-setting who increasingly feels disillusioned by New Years Resolutions and misaligned with some of the toxic manifestation culture of New Age spirituality.
Resolutions try to override Time. Revolutions learn how to move with it.
Revolutions Not Resolutions is what I was always yearning for, but couldn’t find. It’s a way to relate to the New Year that builds from your dream field, not from a list of “should do,” “should be,” or “should have.”

In this iteration of Mystics Making Money, we enter the temple of Vulture Magic. A space where death, hunger, and eros conspire to rebirth your relationship to money, creativity, and aliveness.
Vulture Magic teaches us that no part of your past is a waste. Every heartbreak, every dried-up offering, every old business model you’ve outgrown still hums with the nutrients for new life.
When we learn to feast on what’s dead – without shame, without fear – we discover the power to generate our own abundance directly from what we once thought had failed us.
To make magic with money, you must be willing to get close to what you’ve tried to bury—the failures, the boredom, the unmet longing. Together, we’ll compost them into fuel for joy, courage, and regenerative power.
These are my updated teachings of Vulture Magic through the lens of the Mystics Making Money framework, showing how your hunger, your grief, and your erotic pulse are sacred sources of wealth and creative flow.

When you stop resisting the cycles of death and desire in your work, you stop stagnating. You thaw the freeze. You begin to feel turned on by the marketplace – by exchanging with others, by showing up to your creations as a living, breathing being of appetite and awe.
In Scorpio season, we let the erotic lead. We reclaim the pleasure of being seen, paid, and received as our most alive selves. We honor that creation and destruction are never separate; they’re lovers through the polarity with Taurus.

This iteration of MMM is inspired the Sun and the sign of Leo.
Unlike most teachings on how to get visibility or exude power and leadership, this set of transmissions is rooted in my personal practice of reading and healing energy.

Inspired by the planet Venus, this first iteration of MMM will take a close look at the energetics of contracting with others where money is involved.
In order to participate in the marketplace with your gifts, you create exchanges. The exchange is a contract. It’s a set of agreements.
There are the direct and stated agreements in the contract. And then there are the subtle, less obvious energetics of the contract.
In this workshop, I illuminate the often unspoken truth that contracts are regularly muddied by the shame and scarcity of our programming.
We will bring clarity to the felt but invisible thorniness of setting boundaries like your prices.
