Living Emergence Agreements

• We celebrate the weird, the paradoxical, the impossible, and the liminal in each of us. 
• We submit to the radical act of unshaming. 
• We celebrate each other as we are now.
• We reject “potential” as a tool to shame the present.
• We challenge coloniality, starting with the colonizer in our own hearts.
• We agree that liberation is only liberating when it’s for all of us. 
• We embrace skepticism and critical thinking alongside intuition and trust.  
• We commit to cultivating a space free from the tyranny of advice-giving (outside of official advice-seeking threads). 
• We become better listeners by listening first to our own voices.
• We honor vulnerability as bravery. 
• We submit to the fact that we don’t know everything and give ourselves the generosity to be always learning. 
• We do not have to match here. We do not have to agree on all matters. 
• We accept that the past is always present, and that our triggers are love letters to help us discover where we’re longing to be seen. 
• We believe that building a more loving world requires us to do the hard work of inviting people into a more loving worldview.
• We practice trusting that our expansiveness will be met with expansiveness. 
• We agree to unwind from scarcity, urgency, no-mistakes perfectionism, and standards of “professionalism” that are unkind to our bodies and to one another. 
• We agree to use healing speech.
• We agree to speak directly to the source when harmed, presuming a desire to learn and repair.
• We agree to confidentiality. What’s spoken in Living Emergence, stays in Living Emergence. What’s spoken in any given meetup, stays in that meetup. This is how we protect the space. If you want to quote my teachings, please cite with quotation marks and tag me. If you want to quote someone else’s wisdom, please ask them for consent.
