The Magician’s Table
The Magician’s Table
To “become” an astrologer, tarot reader, energy healer, or any kind of an intuitive guide is a deeply transformative rite of passage. It is a process of emergence that is truly sacred.
An “emerging reader” is anyone who is in this process, as in a chrysalis, preparing themselves to name and claim what’s next for them as they align with the song of their calling.
Naming yourself a person who offers magic to the world is a bold and brave leap of the heart. It means facing fear that your gifts are too much or not enough. Facing the judgment of those who invalidate the intuitive arts. Facing an inner critic who says you’re not ready.
“Who am I to have this wild dream?” you might hear in moments when it feels impossible.
To be a practitioner in metaphysical fields of service means navigating largely outside of all institutional structures of protection. There is no corporate ladder here. It’s learning how to be a small business owner, a creative artist, and a healer all at the same time.
“How do I get from the vision in my mind – which I barely have the nerve to admit out loud! – to a place where I trust in my capacity to show up for those visions?”

A Workshop Circle for Emerging Readers is a 3-month container for personal growth, community connection, and practice growing one’s tools as an intuitive and magical practitioner.
Across My Own Emergence
I’ve had to develop a lot of tools, skills, and personality traits that I didn’t believe I could access before this phase of my life began. Most especially, I’ve had to:
- name and know myself in new ways to expand what’s possible for me
- learn loads of decidedly not-mystical skills like website building, scheduling organization, accounting setup, graphic design, and promotional copywriting (very different from my academic background)
- cultivate deep relationships with the planets and cards as archetypal beings I serve and that speak through me as a clear channel
- confront my limiting beliefs, biases, shadow material, resistances, and fear of external judgment so that I could expand my capacity for visibility, acclaim, joy, love, and wealth
- regularly witness and integrate my “scared little girl” inside, healing my addictions and stagnation patterns in order to be able to show up and tend to my dream
- build ritual practices to support myself and my clients in order to hold clean space
- and most of all: believe in my own magic
From late March through June, I hold space to support multiple cohorts of twelve individuals who are in the process of unfolding their psycho-spiritual identity and learning the personal and professional tools (skills and practices) to support their calling.
The transition from student to practitioner can feel daunting and lonely. I wish I had a journey like this one with mentorship guidance and community witnessing for more support in my early day
“The Magician’s Table is a momentum. An experience. An invitation to allow oneself to meet and step into the highest expression of their skills. It’s a collision. A movement. A trajectory. A coven. A community of kindred spirits. A metamorphosis.” – Megan Frye, 2x participant
There is a table for you to feast on the delights of belonging to magic.
It’s a space for you to listen for the throb of your unique channel, and dance to the thrum of frequencies from your colleagues.
It’s a zone where it’s okay to be messy, to be unsure, to be unmasked, because it’s what is required to get us closer to our gifts.
This is not an outcome space. There are no promises. Expectations unwelcome.
What you receive will be just for you. A medicine just right for the moment you’re in. No two individuals will drink from the same cup.
This table is a heart space. It’s about falling in love. With yourself. With your modality. With possibility. With the unstoppable spirit that runs through each of us so magnificently when we leap from the heart.
It’s called The Magician’s Table.

The Magician’s Table is a medicine space to bring you what you’re sincerely ready for in your path of emergence. No two participants have the same outcomes or process because the container gives each individual what’s most in affinity for them to see.
Your Yes is a commitment to stop pretending that your voice doesn’t matter. As you turn to this container with your whole body, you will be utterly changed by it.
In this initiation journey, you will have the opportunity to:
- cultivate a coven of new friends and colleagues to practice reading skills, share process-based questions, and celebrate one another’s growth (this can also serve as a playground for you to tune into how you want to build your own communities)
- learn tools and skills for nurturing your personal self-care practices
- learn tools and skills for showing up to the practical aspects of the work, including your business sustainability and growth
- develop a firmer sense for your core magical offering in this lifetime and how to differentiate yourself in your field
- receive guidance in naming yourself as as an intuitive guide, seer, and mystic
- expand the limits on what might be possible for you in your work
- grow foundations for your boundaries, ethics, direct voice, and values so you can magnetize clients you admire and respect
Each Magician’s Table cohort has 12 participants. Twelve is a powerful number: 12 signs, 12 months, 12 hours in a day
From the beginning I had a vision of a “13th Reader” – someone who was emerging as a wise voice in their intuitive field with the capacity to grow exponentially in their leadership with such an opportunity. The 13th Reader would be an anchoring support for the group, someone compassionate and truly dedicated to everyone’s growth. The 13th Reader is someone who supports me in showing up for what The Magician’s Table wants to be, beyond myself as the creator-discoverer of this framework.
The 2024 13th Reader(s) will be announced by January.
TMT 2024 kicks off with an online opening weekend March 23-24 and then the Circle meets on most Wednesdays from March 27 – June 19. Keep scrolling for more info. To explore the application, click the button below. Click here to stay updated about TMT via my newsletter.
“The Magician’s Table is much more than just a course. It’s a journey, and a rite of passage for those wanting not only to develop their skills in readership, but to deepen the connection between their personal practice and their presence in connection and community.
TMT guided me into a more intimate knowing of my inner resources and tools. It provided me with a safe and exciting place to practice my tarot reading skills and receive constructive and supportive feedback. I have been continually blown away by the magic and wisdom of my peers and the ecosystem of support we created together.
I have undoubtedly grown by leaps and bounds throughout the duration of TMT. I am leaving as a different person than the one who first entered this course. The practices Britten shares, the discoveries I have made about myself, and the richness of the interpersonal interactions I have experienced through this time have opened me into new horizons of being and relating that I know may only expand from here. This feels like only the beginning of a much longer learning process, and the materials Britten has graced us wlth will continue to be of value of me in the months and years to come.
I cannot recommend TMT highly enough if you feel you are on the threshold of transformation and are ready to see new possibilities for yourself in your path as a reader and magic-maker!”

The Workshop Circle
Learning Components & Rhythmic Structure
The Workshop Circle has several key components that bring structure and rhythm to the flow of our work together.
CIRCLE FELLOWSHIP
We begin and end our time together in community, with weekly meetups for 90 minutes. My role in these is to ground, hold, and close the space for the group by facilitating the flow, focus, and order. Otherwise, my role is to call forth your insights, not to present mine. Everyone is expected to contribute in some way: to share, respond, ask a question, or offer suggestions at least once during the meeting. In respect to one another, each person will self-regulate how long they “hold the mic.”
The Fellowship space is committed to holding room for disagreement and divergence. This is not a cancel space. This is a repair space. And as such, we will trust in the generosity and abundance of repair processes if conflict emerges.
The live meetup is an electrifying growth space because everyone’s voice is centered and everyone gets to be witnessed and celebrated. Each week becomes a space for laughing, crying, shedding, and expanding.
These live meetings are required to participate in the Circle in order to protect its integrity. If you have to miss 1-2 that is fine, but this is not a class where you can just catch the replays. Note that there are 3 weeks that we will not meet in order to create some built-in spaciousness and give us all a chance to catch up and process.
GUIDED LESSONS
Each week after our meetup, I send out an audio lesson and handout with topics to explore, questions to ask yourself, writing prompts to create, and/or a ritual exercise to try. The topics and themes cover the range of experiences you will encounter in your journey of emergence as a reader. See below for the working curriculum.
Everyone will be at different points along the passage of emergence, and there will be no expectation for people to “catch up” or compete with one another. The goal is to progress along from where you start, not to meet a common destination.
WORKSHOP PARTNERING
One of the most challenging parts of being an Emerging Reader is often finding community among like-minded people who share your commitment and spiritual curiosity. That’s why I created built-in community within this container. Students will meet in pairs outside of class to discuss weekly topics, to grow relationships, to practice reading for each other, and to witness each other in evolution.
These 12 weekly readings give you the experience to figure out what works for you, find your flow, and tinker with your style. Moreover, you will each give one another written testimonials which you can keep and post to your booking page if you ever want one.
As a bonus, you are literally receiving readings every week, which is deeply nourishing (and needed), and gives you the unique opportunity to gain insights in your life through multiple modalities.
Not only will you get a chance to work with everyone in the group, you will also get to partner with the course assistant aka The 13th Reader, who will support you in the creation-discovery of your voice.
DAILY PRACTICES
Everyone will be asked to keep a daily journal noting profound thoughts, “aha” moments, ideas coming through, dreams, astro patterns with mood and thoughts, fear inventory, and a morning daily tarot or oracle card pull with an end-of-day shorthand interpretation. This doesn’t have to take more than 20 minutes total of the day. This is a part of my own practice that has been integral in my metamorphosis into an intuitive reader, which you can take or leave as you wish after experimenting with it in your own ways.
ONE-ON-ONE COACHING WITH ME
Included in the Early Bird registration is a one-hour session with me. In our time together, we will explore the practical, the personal, and the chart-based questions you’re working with in your process of emergence. We’ll attune to where you might benefit from “an open window.” I want to illuminate a possibility you might not be seeing to expand your path in some way.
The Magician’s Table is designed for a specific type of person.
This experience is for you if:
- you feel yourself to be emerging forward as an astrologer, tarot reader, mystic guide, and/or energy healer – all forms of what I’m calling “readers”
- you don’t feel like you’ve quite landed on your unique offering
- you crave support, practice, challenge, rapport, and inspiration, a place for your questions, fears, and blocks, and a home for foundational growth
- you get excited about the ways in which being in community and empowering others can help you to grow your own community and attune to your own empowerment
- you align with decolonial, antiracist, queer approaches to healing and service and are excited to continue unlearning from the toxic urgencies and perfectionism of capitalism’s conditioning
- you resonate strongly with my voice, and you trust me that this will be good for you
- you are ready and willing to show up to the live calls every week, partner each week, and engage with our community (in other words, you are ready to own your own emergence)
- you respect that this investment of your time, money, and energy will flow back to you in bigger ways than you can even begin to imagine
This workshop circle is not for you if:
- you are still learning the basic technical foundation of the reader’s craft and are not ready to read for others (this is not a how-to or a certification course)
- you know deep down that you will resent me for asking for your time, money, and energy (this will contaminate the energy of the fellowship)
- you prefer a strict academic setting (we will laugh often, be messy, and applaud one another for our cleverness and wit)
- you are looking to center or pedestalize me as the authority in your process
- you are uninterested in exploring your shadow material or you are committed to seeing yourself as a victim in your life (you won’t enjoy the lessons then)
- you will expect me or the other magician’s to carry what the container brings up with you (we will all be holding our own death and growth processes)
- you can’t make a pledge to honor everyone’s unique and beautiful spirit, especially those who are different from you
“The Magician’s Table was the rite of passage I needed to step into my wildest, most authentic purpose. This experience changed my life, as I encountered deep and unexpected transformations in my work, my relationships, my sense of community, my magical practice, my identities, and my capacity to claim and embody my roles as a reader, artist, space holder, and mystic. The tools I learned and the connections I made in this space are lifetime gifts. TMT taught me how to show up fiercely and bravely in loving community and to acknowledge and embody the wisdom and tools I carry within. I emerged from this chrysalis transformed, inspired, and ready to share my creative powers with the world!” – Mallory Dowd, Seoul, South Korea
“I really really really believe in what you have created with The Magician’s Table. It’s a work of humanist art, a living breathing word and idea garden.” – Magda S.
“The Magician’s Table course was a recalibration of who I understand myself to be. Because of TMT, I trust myself and I know I belong. Sure, I understood this on some intellectual level. I was aware I have tools and skills. But the experience we shared solidified the truth in my bones–I am love and I AM a Magician! My life has been enriched in ever evolving ways. I am forever grateful to Britten LaRue for being our brave and wise guide. Her authenticity and fierce gentleness is exemplary, a model for what is possible when we listen and trust.” – Mary S., Maine
“Thank you for this magic space, Britten. I’m healing in ways I didn’t even know I needed to. Ways that years of therapy didn’t even bring to the surface. There is something just so healing about the feeling of coming home to yourself, and this what just one week of committing to this journey has given me. It’s truly magical.” – Alicia F.
Curriculum For The Magician’s Table
A Workshop Circle for Emerging Readers
Starting the week of 3/29 for 3 months, we will meet for discussion circle once a week. Between group meetings, participants will meet with their assigned partner to exchange 30-minute readings based on what came up. We will take 3 weeks total off for built-in spaciousness.
This year there will be two cohorts of 12 each: Wednesdays at either 12 pm or 5 pm CST. You will indicate any preference in your application.

“The Magician’s Table was a life-changing experience. On a practical level, it profoundly boosted my reading skills and my confidence. Exchanging weekly readings with 12 other talented, intuitive, committed readers within the integrity of this container helped me clearly locate the unique gifts I personally bring into my reading spaces. At the same time, we were able enrich our practices by learning from one another and trading behind-the-scenes insights. Although we were all primarily focused on our individual journeys, the friendship that grew in this space was unforgettable. Each participant within this intimate container displayed a genuine desire to witness each other grow personally and professionally.
As a facilitator, Britten’s approach is deeply holistic. In the past, I’ve been resistant towards courses that are slightly more ‘business-oriented,’ simply because I tend to see the same disconnect between spirit and work I witnessed in corporate spaces replicated in those courses. That’s not the case here. Britten brought her whole self, modeling what it looks like to build a professional practice with sincere reverence for our soul-level calling as its foundation. No tricks and gimmicks here, just plenty of nourishing practices you can adapt for yourself at different stages of your emergence as a worker in the spirit realm.
Don’t take this course if you wish your practice to stay the same. It’s a one-way ticket that will expand and challenge you in ways beyond your wildest imagination.” – Jonathan Koe, last year’s 13th Reader
The exchange for this offering thus includes:
- 11 live meetups facilitated by me and the 13th Reader (recorded to keep)

- an optional Slack space for community-building, idea-swapping, and having fun

- weekly meetups with different partners to practice giving readings

“The Magician’s Table, above all, empowered me to tend my inner Reader and to cultivate the growth of my unique vision from seed to sprout; to witness its bloom and receive its harvest. The connections made through the uplifting community of my fellow magic-makers are lifelong and constellating. My experience with this offering gifted me the fortitude to hold my Hermit lantern high for all to see, and I am infinitely grateful.” – Rosie Cole
About Your Guides

BRITTEN LARUE (she/her) Despite a deep love of scholarship, Britten left behind a doctoral track in art history after hearing the moon call to her. Following a long season of apprenticeship under the teachings of the lunar cycle during a time of great change, Britten emerged into a new life as a public astrologer, an author, a teacher, and an intuitive guide.
Born a student-teacher with The Hierophant as her life card, Britten is known for describing the complicated ancient art of astrology in ways that feel profoundly heart-opening, transformative, and inspiring. Britten is a deeply Piscean human being, which comes through in the expansive frequency of the spaces she caretakes. Her Watery nature is supported by the devoted commitment to structure of her Capricorn Moon and the zesty bravado of her Aries Rising.
Britten calls what she does Emergence Astrology. The name Emergence Astrology centers her primary interest in the discipline: attuning to what is emerging in and for and through us so we can live and trust with more wild aliveness and embodied magic. In everything, Britten sees her role as a steward to the offerings that want to move through her. Her job is to lovingly hold the space in service to the magic that wants to find form.
A 3/5 Emotional Manifesting Generator, Britten is a magician with words and is known for her “framework magic” such as Living the Signs, Moon to Moon, Intentions as Sentient Beings, the Emergent No, Vulture Magic, “Feeling more means feeling more,” “It’s it’s not resonant, it’s not fucking resonant,” humpability, chartless astrology, “Abundance begins with No,” “field research for yourself,” and many more keywords and sayings that become inside lingo in her client-student-mentee community.
Britten lives on the seized ancestral home of a variety of Indigenous Peoples including the Caddo, Wichita, and Comanche, now known as Dallas, TX. An INFJ and 12th House person who unashamedly needs a lot of quiet “cave time,” she balances her bustling career with a devoted journaling practice, neighborhood runs, meditation with those she refers to as “they who give me guidance,” simple and complicated tarot pulls, and cooking fried eggs for rice bowls. She gives and receives love abundantly with her two teenage daughters (a Scorpio and a Taurus), the man she’s crossed lifetimes to meet again (a fellow Pisces), and a golden-collie named Buddy.
So what’s next?
The Magician’s Table is now closed for enrollment and will reopen for the next cohort in spring of 2024.
Questions & Answers
Q: How do I know if I’m ready to be an “emerging reader,” especially if it’s hard to tell if my resistance is rooted in imposter syndrome or I truly just don’t know if I’m ready? A: Good question. If you have offered a reading to someone else – it doesn’t matter at all if this was paid or for a loved one – and you had the exhilarating sense that you can do this and that you might even be really good at it… then you are ready to emerge. We will work on imposter syndrome issues along the way as a community. Moreover, we will also be practicing together. You will each have 12 opportunities to practice giving readings, which is a LOT of practice.
Q: What if I feel very confident reading for myself and know that I could do it for others, but I haven’t had any practice yet reading for someone else? In other words, I have the technical proficiency but lack the practice – would I be a good fit? A: Yes. That’s the essence of emerging. This experience will force you to work with other people and by the end of the experience you will be in totally different place in the process.
Q: Do I qualify for the group if I am currently getting paid for readings and already have a small but growing following? A: Definitely! The Circle will help you to clarify your voice, grow your practice, nurture relationships with other readers for support, and melt any remaining self-doubt about your calling. Total confidence in who you are as a reader is not something that happens instantly once you’re doing it. Plus, it’s very different to read for other practitioners than it is to read for people who know way less than you do about your field. Reading for other practitioners will help you to hone your tools and grow more certain in your abilities.
All of the above concerns underline a key point here: everyone will enter the Circle from their own position along a larger process of emergence that will be totally unique to each person, and this is not a problem. This is not a comparative or competitive experience. Everyone will feel “ahead” and “behind” in various ways, and everyone will have a beautiful contribution to share from their own place of experience and embodied wisdom.
Q: My biggest concern is time. I want to experience all of this so much, but I don’t know if I have the bandwidth right now. How many hours a week will this require of me in order to meet the expectations for the group? A: This is a really important question because the “success” of the Circle really does depend on everyone showing up. You will need to plan on a minimum of 3 hours a week: 1 for the live group meeting, 1 for your partnering workshop session, and 1 hour to at least hear or process some of the homework lesson by the next Circle meetup. If something has to go each week, it’ll be the latter. And this is ok! The lesson material is yours forever.
This doesn’t include actually implementing the homework lessons to your business / practice. Ideally, you give an additional 1-3 or more hours to caretaking that homework. The depth and breadth of your implementation is up to you and can continue to be tended to over time. There will be 3 separate weeks off for catching up and spaciousness. And don’t forget… this won’t usually feel like “work” because we’re growing your calling here!
Q: I’m not totally clear on what we’ll do when we meet up with partners each week. Can you give more details? A: Right after our meetup each week you will find out who you’re assigned for the upcoming week. One of pre-assignments will be to set up a scheduling calendar if you don’t have one so that booking with one another will be easy. You will need to find one hour or two half-hours to meet before the next group meeting.
How you do this will evolve across our time together. In respect for one another’s time, I am challenging everyone to aim to keep their reading around 30 minutes. Remember that in the professional world, you client might have a hard stop at the end of your appointment time, so it’s important to learn how to trust your closing practice.
You and your partner can amend the timeframe to your mutual desires. Every partnering will be a new and different experience. This is part of the magic! You will get used to the flow of this after the first couple of weeks.
Q: I’m fluent in more than one modality (eg. astrology + tarot). Can I practice both modalities in this circle? A: Absolutely! Most of the magicians who come into this space are both multi-modality. Many of your peers will be multi-hyphenate magicians, and part of cultivating multiple tools means knowing and trusting in the weaving of one’s modalities to meet the client where they are.

More testimonials from previous Magician’s Table participants

“My experience with The Magician’s Table was completely life changing. When I said yes to this container, I was already in a path of wild emergence, it felt foggy and gooey and also exhilarating. There was a lot of haziness, fear of the unknown, fear of what I was shedding and fear of what I was calling IN. Fear of my own power. I knew I was in some kind of threshold, in between fear and courage, between the past and some kind of magical future I could taste and feel but not see. In a way, I was already on my way to claiming/reclaiming a dormant cosmic warrior that was inside. But I was so afraid, to be myself, to be perceived as a fake, to be seen as too much. This experience, not a class, more of a journey if you ask me, helped me clear away the doubts, clear away the fuzziness of fear-based decision making and allow myself to witness what it would be like to fully embrace the tools I had been cultivating throughout my entire life.
And so I did. I experienced many emotions as I rode this wave of emergence with my TMT companions. Fear, longing, exhilaration, jealousy, so much self doubt, complete emotional breakdown, explosions of confidence, lightning bolts of energy, mind expansion, heart expansion, meeting myself on the other side of the mirror for the first time, seeing these brooding plutonian eyes shed tears of compassion for myself, for my new friends, for the path we cannot see but that we know is at the other side of fear. Every single week was an act of alchemy. Every single week was an opportunity to compost and to come out stronger.
What I learned in this container and the people that gave life to it is almost indescribable. I am different because of it, because of this experience. There was a lot of shedding that took place, I felt lighter, braver, more grounded, more myself. I also gained a family of friends and collaborators. The community that was created was one of the greatest treasures of this experience. I am forever grateful and proud of myself for saying yes.” – Mariola Rosario, Paris, France
“The entire Magician’s Table container, felt like an extra-meaningful summer camp experience, where you truly come into your own and give of yourself, and you’re pretty sure none of you will ever me the same once back home. Despite my nervousness at the outset, I was welcomed with open, non-judgmental arms, that showed up for me each week even when I wasn’t sure I believed in myself. That sort of iterative webbing of support felt organic yet was foundationally connected to the thoughtful planning that Britten put into all aspects of this program. From the decentralized format, to the open feedback loop, The Magician’s Table was both reliable and adaptable from day 1.
And the support never stopped either — the threads of community sewn will provide fabric that can clothe the soul. I am in touch with many fellow-TMTers regularly, will meet some in the flesh even soon, are supporting several amazing Patreons, have found vital services to support my own path, and these wonderful humans to bounce ideas off of, share memes and musings with on IG, and they are my reliable go-to for resources, new information, etc.” – Lily of the Valley
“Britten, you’ve given me the gift of Astrology, and shown me the magic of how Tarot and Astrology work so well together. This class was the impetus for me to do what I previously considered to be impossible. I will forever be grateful.” – Anne Marie, Dallas
“The Magician’s Table is a beautiful container with something for everyone, seriously jam-packed with incredible resources and information. But what I loved most was the community that formed. Britten is talented at bringing unique and brilliant folks together in a beautifully supportive space, several of whom I now call friends. Through this process, I also learned so much about myself! Not only who I am as an astrologer but also my personal life too. 10/10. Don’t sleep on this!” – Erin Kelley
“The Magician’s Table is far more than an online classroom experience. It is a journey that one takes, into the depths of themselves as well as those sharing the experience with you. It’s a lesson in connection and abundance. An experience that is certain to pivot the direction of your steps back onto your very own Yellow Brick Road, all the way back home to yourself.” – Kelsey B., Manitoba, CA
“The Magician’s Table provided me with an incredible group of like-minded creatives, passionate teachings from Britten, and the opportunity to better understand my own gifts. The weekly meetings were a sacred space full of passion, support, and learning from other’s experiences. I would highly recommend the Magician’s Table to anyone looking to expand their sense of self and embark on a journey with unique and inspiring individuals. I was hesitant to sign up because life was “too busy” and I am beyond grateful I put my personal needs first and went for it. I can’t imagine having missed out on this once in a lifetime opportunity. If you’re considering it, you should absolutely do it!” – Lauren M., Dallas, TX
“The Magician’s Table was a life-altering experience! This was more than a workshop; it was a communal ritual of transformation and emergence. I came out of this chrysalis more resourced and inspired to offer up my creations to the world. Within this warm and generative space tended by wise and skillful co-leaders, I learned how to hold and be held in community and gained myriad tools and skills that will serve me as I move in the direction of my work in this world. I gained clarity and confidence in my gifts as a tarot reader and artist. I rediscovered my voice and gained the courage to start sharing it! The Magician’s Table was a rich, expansive, and surprising course that was worth far more than the cost of enrollment. I will forever cherish the lessons, the conversations, and the connections I experienced in this magical space. Thank you, Britten!” – Mallory Dowd
“Britten is an astrologer who operates from her highest integrity. This is clear from the container that she created and the participants that constellated around her in The Magician’s Table. I was initially nervous about joining TMT, thinking “who am I to join this space??” but, I am so glad that I listened to my “Yes”. Our group’s time together was a life changing experience of magic, kinship, self-exploration, and emergence. I am forever changed.” – J Skeans, San Antonio, TX
“The Magician’s Table is a momentum. An experience. An invitation to allow oneself to meet and step into the highest expression of their skills. It’s a collision. A movement. A trajectory. A coven. A community of kindred spirits. A metamorphosis. I drop so many nouns here because I was thrilled at what I discovered week-to-week and day by day. I had no idea what to expect when I signed up. I knew it would be profound, but it ended up being a precipice that would define the next moves of my life, moves that I had not been clear on my capacity of making; moves that would lift me into the golden orb of beginning to joyfully live my deepest potentialities. It was a whirlpool of love and encouragement, catching the raging and cleansing waters of a cascade of information, of acceptance, of witnessing and being witnessed.
Through working with Britten 1:1, in The Magician’s Table, Soft Strength and now Charting Your Course, I am mesmerized, inspired and grateful for her ability to craft a curriculum. Within The Magician’s Table, we were gifted a cauldron of mystical and practical ingredients that one needs in order to emerge as not only a professional reader, but a human who takes up space. I lovingly refer to Britten as “the content queen” because of her capacity to select, designate and nurture materials and information into something digestible, though at times still quite challenging, for her students. Britten’s expertise at weaving a fabric of incredible resources that are obviously and not-so-obviously related to the topic at hand is a skill that I truly appreciate and have directly benefited from. Britten’s capacity to not center herself, even amidst this masterpiece of a course, really helped us emerge with an even stronger shield to meet the world with our individual truths, vulnerabilities and strengths.
The course paid for itself with the tremendous readings from my incomparable classmates; individuals whom I have become closely bonded with (I was not expecting or looking for this!) through the shared experience of opening up, giving and receiving. I watched each of these readers emerge as what I think most would consider professionals across the three months of the class. I am a better person for having received readings from them, for knowing them, and for having partaken in community with them.
In terms of practicality, I learned a lot about running a business, about clients, boundaries and also experienced a safe space in which I knew my readings would be received by people who really wanted them. My business has expanded – I have expanded – and I am still processing, integrating and implementing the knowledge from this class months later. There is so much I could say about The Magician’s Table, but I will end with this: It exceeded my expectations. I could not have expected anything, to be honest, because I do not think another course that is this complex, this complete, this diverse and this compelling exists covering this vast and magical range of material. When you step across the threshold of The Magician’s Table, you step into a creative force field where you are taught how to trust in using the tools that you already have at your disposal, and where you will find infinitely more available for your use. I am emerging transformed.” – Megan Frye, www.healingwavehypnosis.com
