I don’t always have access to my cackle. That head-back laugh from a belly place of belonging here. It’s a laugh that communicates our unfuckwithability. It’s the laugh that vocalizes the fact of your apologetic presence. We associate the cackle with witches and hags, the parts of us who longer give a shit what we look like, or if you like us. My cackle reminds me of my aliveness, which gets stronger the more I lean in to feeling all of life.
